What is the internal student mobility programme
Through the internal mobility programme (also known as “Internal ERASMUS”), students have the opportunity to attend educational activities, which are part of the first cycle curriculum of a first cycle Department/Minor Departmental Faculty of another HEI than the one they are enrolled in.
In particular, the internal student mobility programme is an educational activity that allows undergraduate students of an HEI to attend courses for one semester in another, similar or not, department of a Greek HEI. The aim is to enhance interdisciplinarity, the acquisition of new knowledge and academic flexibility.
Basic Features and Requirements
It has a duration of one (1) academic semester. Participants can be first-cycle (undergraduate) students who have not exceeded the minimum time of study. Regarding the procedure: Students apply by selecting up to three study programs at another HEI in the country, accompanied by a CV and a letter of motivation.
Regarding recognition, the credit points (ECTS) acquired at the host institution are recognised and transferred to the home institution.
It should be noted that the programme was put in place to promote in-country mobility, offering experiences similar to the classic Erasmus, but at a domestic level. Thus, the cultivation of additional knowledge and skills, the promotion of interdisciplinarity of studies, the broadening of horizons, the acquaintance with different academic environments are achieved.
