New videos, one from an agent’s body camera, shows the shooting of the 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis (videos)

Two videos show the moment Rene Nicole Good tries to run over the ICE agent with her car

Newsroom January 9 11:23

Rene Nicole Good, who was killed while trying to run over an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis, had “stopped to support our neighbors,” her wife Rebecca said. At the same time, a new video of the bloody incident has come to light, recorded by the body camera worn by the agent who was present.

The video, recorded by agent Jonathan Ross and published by Alpha News, shows Rene in the driver’s seat of a Honda Pilot, while Rebecca stands in the street next to the car. A dog is also sitting in the back seat, looking out through an open window. Rene says, “It’s okay, man, I’m not mad at you,” before her wife begins shouting as whistles and sirens are heard in the background.

“It’s okay, we don’t change our license plates every morning, just so you know,” Rebecca said. “It’ll be the same plate when you talk to us later, it’s okay, we’re American citizens,” she added.

“Do you want to attack us? Go eat something, big guy. Go ahead,” Rebecca says while filming him with her phone outside the car. She then tries to get back into the vehicle from the passenger side, while a police officer shouts at her, “Get the f… out of the car,” and Rene reverses.

Rebecca, who is still outside the car, can be heard saying, “Drive, baby, drive, drive,” before Rene accelerates hitting the ICE officer who shoots her in defence.

The US Vice PResident JD Vance posted the body cam video.

Watch this, as hard as it is. Many of you have been told this law enforcement officer wasn't hit by a car, wasn't being harassed, and murdered an innocent woman.

The reality is that his life was endangered and he fired in self defense. https://t.co/IfXAAxi9Ql

“We stopped to help our neighbors”

The couple had moved to Minneapolis nearly a year ago, looking for a place where they could feel comfortable together with their 6-year-old son. “On Wednesday, January 7, we stopped to help our neighbors. We had whistles. They had guns,” Rebecca Good said, according to the Washington Post.

“We were raising our son with the belief that, regardless of your background or appearance, we all deserve compassion and kindness.”

The 37-year-old Rene was shot a few blocks from her home by an ICE agent who fired in self-defense. While it does not provide specific details, Rebecca’s statement suggests that on the day Rene was killed, the couple were among local residents who had organized to monitor and protest ICE activities, as reported by the Washington Post.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, told Fox News that Good “had been surveilling agents all day, interfering with law enforcement.”
