Lessort originally suffered a fibula fracture in December 2024 during a EuroLeague home game against Baskonia. He underwent immediate surgery and even returned to play in the Final Four semifinal in Abu Dhabi. However, he has not played since, and after further examinations, a second operation was deemed necessary to fully recover.

Panathinaikos announced that Lessort will travel to Porto on Saturday morning, accompanied by the team’s head medical officer, Ioannis Triantafyllopoulos. The arthroscopic surgery aims to restore the cartilage damage and support his full return to professional basketball.

This operation marks a critical step in Lessort’s rehabilitation, highlighting the club’s commitment to ensuring the player receives top-tier medical care from global experts.
