Opinion Poll: 16.3 points lead for ND, one in four voters in the “grey zone”

Marginal fluctuations for all parties, the biggest drop for the Eleftherias Movement - By far the most important problem for society is accuracy, Mitsotakis dominates in the suitability for prime minister

Newsroom October 13 07:49

A substantial 16.3-point lead in the latest vote estimate gives New Democracy a commanding advantage over PASOK in the October Opinion Poll presented on Action 24’s main newscast. Both leading parties experienced slight declines compared to the previous survey: New Democracy lost 0.4 points, now at 30.1%, while PASOK dropped 0.2 points to 13.8%.

Hellenic Solution, now in third place at 11.1%, also fell by 0.4 points, while the Eleftherias Party declined by 0.8 points to 10.9%. Following them are KKE at 7.6% (+0.2%), SYRIZA at 4.5% (+0.3%), the Voice of Logic at 4.5% (+0.2%), MPA25 at 3.2% (-1.8%), the Movement for Democracy at 2.6% (-0.1%), Niki at 2.3% (-0.1%), New Left at 1.2% (-0.4%), and “Other parties” at 8.2%, a significant increase from September when only 5% chose this category. Consequently, the “gray zone” (undecided voters and those supporting smaller parties) has surged to 26%, reflecting (according to the pollsters) a high degree of political fluidity. Based on these figures, an eight-party parliament could be expected.

Citizen Evaluation

27.5% of respondents rate the government’s performance positively, while 70.7% rate it negatively. When asked which party they consider the best and most effective opposition, 45.15% answered “None.” Among the remaining respondents, the leader is PLEUSI ELEFTHERIAS at 13%, followed by Hellenic Solution and PASOK at 11.4%, KKE at 6.3%, and SYRIZA at 4.3%.

Regarding political leaders, Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads with 28.1%, followed by Zoe Konstantopoulou at 7.9%, Nikos Androulakis at 7.8%, and K. Velopoulos at 7.5%, with other leaders registering lower percentages.

Significant Decline for the “Tsipras Party”

When asked if they would vote for a potential Tsipras party, 8.6% said “definitely yes,” 17.5% said “might vote for it,” and 69.5% said “would not vote for it.” Compared to the previous survey, the “definitely yes” category increased by 2.1 points, while the “might vote” category fell by 7.8 points. Overall, the combined potential support dropped from 31.8% to 26.1%. It is noted that potential voting intention for a party that has not yet been established should not be equated with actual voting intention.

Looking at left and center-left voters, 34.7% of SYRIZA voters from the European elections, 6.3% of PASOK voters, and 1.8% of KKE voters expressed potential support. Additionally, 44.6% of SYRIZA voters, 42.3% of PLEUSI ELEFTHERIAS voters, 18.2% of KKE voters, and 15.8% of PASOK voters indicated they would consider voting for this party.

The top issue identified by respondents is accuracy, with 55.5% highlighting it as their primary concern. Following this are the economy and development (25.6%), administration of justice/rule of law (16.1%), corruption (15.9%), national health system (14.6%), national issues/Greek-Turkish relations (10.6%), energy costs (10.5%), and education (9.6%).
