Djokovic impressed by Greek woman who spoke to him in Serbian (video)

“I am surprised at how well she speaks Serbian for a woman from Greece,” said Novak Djokovic

Newsroom September 17 12:46

Novak Djokovic, who has already settled in Athens, was met with a pleasant surprise when a woman approached him and spoke fluent Serbian.

According to Serbian media, the woman knew Nole’s native language because her husband is also of Serbian origin.

Djokovic even asked the woman to call her husband, whom he congratulated for what he had heard.

“I’m surprised at how well she speaks Serbian for a woman from Greece. Congratulations, that’s your greatest achievement. I’m glad I met her, and God willing, we’ll meet somewhere,” Djokovic said to the woman’s husband.

“Not so much, I don’t want to brag about it,” the woman’s husband reportedly replied to the Serbian tennis player.

The woman then hurriedly hung up the phone, explaining to her husband that Djokovic was with his children and she didn’t want to cause any trouble.
