Incidents occurred at Syntagma Square late in the afternoon during a gathering commemorating the Tempi train tragedy.

On Saturday evening, a group of approximately 20 people threw Molotov cocktails near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, causing panic among those attending the gathering.

In response, riot police (MAT) deployed tear gas and ultimately dispersed the group between Ermou Street and Panepistimiou Street.
