Countdown to Klavdia’s Eurovision appearance — Last-minute changes and the surprise with her dress

The Greek delegation with Klavdia will perform tonight in the second semifinal in Basel. Last-minute changes to the singer’s appearance and a surprise with her outfit have generated buzz

Newsroom May 15 04:16

As the countdown to Eurovision 2025’s grand final on May 17 in Basel, Switzerland, begins, fans are focusing on tonight’s second semifinal, where Greece will compete with Claudia and her song “Asteromata.”

The final rehearsal of Greece’s entry already caused a stir on social media, with many praising her impressive stage presence.

Klavdia appears almost throughout her performance in a black dress. However, at the end, there’s a major twist: the lights go out, and within seconds, she removes the black outfit, revealing a white dress — a moment considered the highlight of her performance.

Videos shared on social media capture her stage presence and the team’s last-minute adjustments.

Following the first semifinal on Tuesday, May 13, which saw Cyprus eliminated, the spotlight shifts today, Thursday, May 15, to the second semifinal at 10:00 PM Greek time. Greece’s performance is seventh in the running order.

The song, composed by Arcade and Klavdia with lyrics by Arcade, is staged under the creative direction of Fokas Evangelinos. The performance revolves around the theme of separation and the journey toward light, as reflected in the directorial approach.
