US and China suspend part of their punitive customs duties for 90 days

The suspension is to come into force "from today until 14 May", the statement said.

The United States and China will suspend for 90 days a portion of punitive customs tariffs they have imposed since US President Donald Trump declared a trade war against the world’s second largest economy, according to a joint statement.

The suspension is to take effect “from today until May 14,” the statement specified.
