PM Samaras: SYRIZA leads the country to new memorandums

A confident speech by the Prime Minister directly attacked the opposition party's strategy

Newsroom January 21 07:03

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras is in Thessaloniki for his pre-election campaign. He spoke from “Vellideion” exhibition center.

He began his speech, confident that the New Democracy party will win on Sunday’s elections. He stressed that these elections are not all about the country’s governance, but the country’s long-term future. He attacked SYRIZA by stating that they want to tax small deposits, chase away investments like COSCO, print money to fill the debt. He reiterated that all this is reminiscent of dictatorships like the one in North Korea, and that the opposition party wants to bring the country to the levels it had thirty years ago, to a level such as that of North Korea and Venezuela.

The Prime Minister said that SYRIZA wants to disband Frontex, take away the weapons from Police and the Coast Guard. He directly attacked Mr. Tsipras on his party’s various opinions about real estate tax, and stated that SYRIZA’s program will multiply taxation to the middle class.

Antonis Samaras also added that hundreds f investment plans have already been approved. Tens of thousands of employment opportunities for the young, are ready. Furthermore he mentioned that company taxes will drop from 25% to 15% within the next four years, as well as reward incentives for all taxpayers who are following the word of law and making their payments normally.
