The Commission official stressed the need for timely implementation of the Recovery Fund programmes in 2025 and 2026

The Recovery Fund ends in 2026, the deputy director general of the European Union, Declan Costello.

Speaking at a European Commission event, in the presence of Nikos Papathanasis and Akis Skertzos, Declan Costello stressed that 2026 is a “hard and rigid” timeframe, sending the message that no change or extension is possible or planned for the reforms and investments needed after 2026.
