Two dead in California wildfires – Battle with four “100% uncontrolled” fronts

The fronts expand within minutes, due to the very strong winds blowing in the area

Newsroom January 8 07:21

High winds, drought and fuel on rugged terrain are fueling the wildfires in Southern California where at least four major fronts are raging, which authorities say are “absolutely out of control.”

Two people have died and several were injured on the Eaton front near the city of Pasadena, part of which is under evacuation. On this front alone, the burned area exceeds 9,000 acres.

Over 1,000 homes and other structures have been destroyed.

As of Tuesday morning, firefighters in the state have been battling to contain the fires.

Meanwhile, thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes, and property damage has already occurred.

According to indications so far, the first fire broke out Tuesday morning from the yard of a house in an urban area in Pacific Palisades.

Within 20 minutes it had spread from 80 to 800 acres and by Wednesday morning had burned about 11,700 acres.
