New Year’s Eve: how public transport will move

Buses, trolleybuses, metro and trams will stop earlier, as is the case every year on public transport - New Year's Day, 1 January, and Epiphany Day, 6 January, will run on Sunday and public holidays

A modified timetable will apply again this year, on New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2024, for public transport services.

Specifically, according to an update from STASY the last timetables for today, Tuesday, December 31, on fixed-track vehicles, are as follows:

LINE 1 METRO:

from Piraeus to Kifissia 22:20 arriving in Kifissia at 23:11

from KIFISIA to PIRAEUS 22:20 arriving Piraeus 23:11

from MONASTIRAKI to KIFISIA 22:36 and to PIRAEUS 22:54

from ATTIKA to KIFISIA 22:44 and to PIRAEUS 22:47

from OMONOIA to KIFISIA 22:39 and to PIRAEUS 22:52

LINE 2 & 3 METRO:

from ANTHOUPOLI to ELLINIKO at 22:43 arriving at ELLINIKO at 23:17

from ELLINIKO to ANTHOUPOLI at 22:44 arriving in ANTHOUPOLI at 23:14

from MUNICIPAL THEATRE to D. PLAKEDIA at 22:37

from D. PLAKEDIA to Municipal Theatre 22:42

from AIRPORT to Municipal Theatre 22:22

from Municipal Theatre to AIRPORT 21:42

from SYNTAGMA in all directions last route 23:00

TRAM

LINE 7 (BULAS CITY – Agios Triada)

from ASCIIPEIO Voulas to AGIA TRIADA at 21:51

from AGIA TRIADA to ASCIIPEIO VULAS at 22:07

LINE 6 (SYNTAGMA – PIKRODAFNI)

from SYNTAGMA to PIKRODAFNI at 22:39

LINE 6 + LINE 7 WITH ANTACK TO PIKRODAFNI

from SYNTAGMA to ASCLEPHIA BULAS at 21:54 and to AGIA TRIADA at 21:30

Trolleybuses

Buses and trolleybuses on New Year’s Eve will be at the depots around 10 p.m., according to the OASA. Therefore, the last services will start from the stations between 21:00. The same applies to the Airport Express buses. Night services are expected to run normally after 1:00 am, with vehicles leaving the depots after midnight.
