Attempted murder in Cyprus – Shot over drug disputes

The two men had made an appointment at the offender's house to settle their differences

A Greek Cypriot man is currently hospitalized in Limassol after being shot at the doorstep of an acquaintance’s home around 7:30 PM on Monday. He had been invited there to settle their differences.

The two men had arranged to meet at the perpetrator’s house, where the assailant lay in wait armed with a pistol. When the target of the attack arrived at the door, accompanied by his brother, the assailant opened the door and shot him. According to reports, the bullet struck the victim in the leg.

The perpetrator fled the scene in the victim’s car and is now being sought by authorities. The injured man was transported to the hospital by his brother and is not in critical condition.

All three individuals involved are known to the police for drug-related cases, and it is suspected that their dispute was over narcotics.
