Stylianides in contact with the Turkish Interior Minister on the migration issue

The cooperation of the Greek and Turkish coastguard was the focus of the telephone communication with Ali Yerlikaya

The Minister of Maritime Policy Christos Stylianides and Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya had a telephone conversation at noon on Tuesday (1/10).

Their communication is part of the cooperation between the two sides on the management of migration flows.

The discussion took place in a positive atmosphere and the two ministers reiterated their commitment to strengthen their cooperation.

At the same time, they agreed that the cooperation between the Greek and Turkish coastguards should become even more systematic and that they should remain in regular contact.
