The 50-year-old man is charged with causing bodily harm, threats, insults, property damage, and disruption of a public service

A serious incident occurred on Tuesday involving a parent’s attack on an educator at a school in Agrinio.

Specifically, in the afternoon at a middle school in Agrinio, a student’s father reportedly caused a disturbance in the principal’s office.

The parent faces charges for causing bodily harm, threats, insults, property damage, and disruption of a public service. A case has been filed by the Agrinio Police Department.

The 50-year-old man threw a water bottle at the principal’s head, causing minor injuries, while also damaging the computer keyboard.

Here is the official statement from the Hellenic Police (ELAS) on the incident:

“Officers from the Agrinio Police Department have filed charges for bodily harm, threats, property damage, and disrupting the operation of an educational institution against a Greek man. On the afternoon of 24-9-2024, he entered the office of an educator in a school complex, threatened the educator, and then threw a water bottle at her, striking her in the head. Additionally, his actions caused damage to a computer keyboard and school documents, and disrupted the functioning of the educational institution.”
