Samos: 25 migrants found in the northwestern part – Investigations into whether they are linked to the shipwreck

From the early morning wreck at Agios Isidoros, three people had been found dead and five were rescued

Newsroom September 23 02:45

In Drakaios, Samos, 25 people were found earlier, including nationals from Syria, Palestine and Kuwait. They are currently being transferred to the Closed Controlled Facility of Samos Island (KEDN Samos).

According to Samos24, among the people is a pregnant woman, who was evacuated for first aid to the Karlovassos health center.

It is not yet clear whether the people found in the Drakaeans are related to the current shipwreck in Agios Isidoros or if it is a separate incident. Authorities are continuing to investigate to clarify the circumstances under which these people were found in the area.
