How to Make Easy Homemade Sugar-Free Ice Cream

Who doesn’t love ice cream? Especially on warm days, it’s the sweetest way to cool down. However, ice cream often comes with extra calories and potential guilt. How can we avoid this? We can make a sugar-free ice cream with just a few ingredients, primarily using fruits. To sweeten it a bit more, we add 1 tablespoon of honey.

Here are two different recipes:

1. Banana and Cottage Cheese Ice Cream
Ingredients (for 2 servings)

  • 1 container of cottage cheese
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Cinnamon (optional)
  • 12 cherries (diced)

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas into small pieces, place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze for at least 20 hours.
  2. Once frozen, transfer the bananas to a blender, add the cottage cheese, honey, and cinnamon. Blend well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Divide the mixture into two bowls and freeze. In 2 hours, you’ll have soft ice cream, and in 4 hours, it will be firmer. Serve with diced cherries for extra flavor!

Ingredients (for 2 servings)

  • 100 g raspberries
  • 3 cups strawberries
  • 4 tablespoons low-fat yogurt

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries and raspberries thoroughly, then freeze them overnight.
  2. The next day, place the frozen fruit in a blender with the yogurt and blend. You may need to pause and stir occasionally to remove ice cream from the blender walls.
  3. Blend for 4-5 minutes until the mixture has a smooth texture similar to machine-made ice cream. Transfer to two bowls and enjoy!
