According to reports, the livestock farms are located in both the northern and southern parts of the Evros region, but the exact number of animals to be culled has not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, as of yesterday afternoon, the Evros Veterinary Directorate announced the initial measures to contain the disease and prevent its spread.

These measures include prohibiting the exit or removal of live and dead animals, meat, animal feed, materials, objects, and manure from the farms; fencing the facilities; installing disinfection trenches; conducting disinfections, pest control, and rodent control; limiting visitors to the farms; isolating newly introduced animals for at least 21 days; and daily monitoring of the animals for clinical symptoms.
