Four historic hotels that are part of the Yades Group

The Yades list of 16 hotels combines luxury and style that pays homage to tradition

Newsroom October 30 11:50

There is more to Greece than just beautiful beaches, clear blue waters and perennial sunshine. There is a hidden part in both the mainland and the islands that goes undiscovered and inexperienced. From boutique hotel to mountain chalets and from manor houses to private villas, Yades Greek Historic Hotels are a group of 16 properties handpicked for their location, ambiance, history or amenities.

Aigialos Hotel in Santorini is a collection of 18 luxurious, traditional and neoclassical homes belonging to one of Santorini’s noble families. Located next to the Byzantine church of Christ of the 18th Century, all terraces of the hotel overlook the the volcano and appear to rise from authentic volcanic ashes from the Aegean Sea. Aigialos’ cobbled walkways, stunning views and island elegance offer a relaxing escape.

AIGIALOS

The Esperas in Santorini is the ultimate in romance. Perched on the edge of a cliff in the village of Oia, the hotel is an oasis of serenity and wonderment. All of the houses, originally carved into the rock, have been meticulously restored preserving their unique characteristics.

ESPERUS

How about a gourmet break at Kyrimai Hotel in Mani. The historic hotel is housed in the renovated trade center of the Peloponnese built in 1870. The building, situated at the edge of the sea, is a true example of the local architecture featuring inner courts, tower rooms, charming attics and period arches. Kyrimai offers 18 elegant rooms and luxury suites where the only sound guests can hear is the lapping of the sea. The jewel in the crown is the gourmet restaurant by the renowned and internationally award winning Michelin star chef, Yiannis Baxevanis who has received stellar reviews from critics from both sides of the Atlantic.
