Nikos Portokaloglou: Plans concert at Lycabettus to support “doctors without borders”

Which artists will perform with him

Newsroom July 19 12:15

Music will meet solidarity on the evening of September 24th at the Municipal Theater of Lycabettus. Nikos Portokaloglou will host a concert to benefit the humanitarian organization “Doctors Without Borders,” with special guests Panos Mouzourakis and Nefeli Fasouli.

“In my songs, I have tried to talk as much as I can about the journey of self-awareness and the return to the homeland of the soul. However, the journey of ‘Doctors Without Borders’ around the world is much more tangible and dangerous: it is a continuous adventure of offering and sacrifice. This fills me with awe and admiration. So, let’s support their noble and brave effort through this big concert at my beloved Lycabettus!” says Portokaloglou meaningfully.

Joining him will be Vicky Karatzoglou, one of the newer recognized popular voices, Vyron Tsourapis, a faithful companion in his live performances, and the dynamic band that has accompanied him in recent years, “Eugene Alites.”

This choir is part of El Sistema Greece, an educational music program for social inclusion that provides high-level free music education to children and young people.
