The singer Yannis Katsambas died at the age of 83.

Together with his younger brother, the singer George Katsampas, he created in 1955 the band “Katsampas Brothers” known as Katsampakia.

They were born in Agrinio, on July 15, 1941, Yannis Katsambas and on January 1, 1944, George Katsambas. They released their first album in 1968 and dozens of others followed.

The Katsampas Brothers (Αδελφοί Κατσάμπα) released their first album in 1968 for dozens of others to follow. Several of their songs are Latin creations.

They also took part in many Greek cinema films, the first being “Alice in the Navy”.

In 1963 they also played in the foreign film “Fun in Acapulco” with the legendary Elvis Presley.
