Coldplay: Long queues form outside Herodion for the band’s music video

Earlier today, the production team issued a public invitation, many attendees are anticipated

Amid scorching temperatures, numerous Coldplay fans, originally selected for the music video, patiently wait in long lines under the blazing sun to pass through the initial checkpoint at Herodion.

Earlier today, the production team issued a public call, and in the next half hour, even more participants are expected to arrive.

Reportedly, those participating in the Coldplay music video will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and deposit their mobile phones upon entry. The scheduled passage through Herodion is set for 7 pm, provided they endure the sweltering heat.

As revealed on June 9, Coldplay chose Herodion as the location for filming their new music video and obtained the necessary permits.

Furthermore, on the morning of June 10, Coldplay surprised the public with an invitation for their fans to participate in the video shoot at Mirtsiefski Street 29, Athina 117 41, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Attendees were instructed on attire and personal belongings to bring.

Regarding the licensing process, Coldplay obtained permission from the relevant archaeological service, submitting a comprehensive proposal detailing their filming plans. Modifications were made to align with the terms of use and preservation of the Roman conservatory.

However, the fate of the elaborate sets from the National Opera’s production of “Tosca,” currently on the Herodeion stage until Tuesday’s final performance, remains uncertain. According to the Athens Epidaurus Festival, relocating and reinstalling the sets within a short timeframe is impractical, leaving the possibility of them being covered during Coldplay’s shoot.
