Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is currently meeting with the heads of member companies and associations of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (IFPMA) at the Maximou.

The Biopharmaceutical CEOs Roundtable (BCR) is a global policy forum held every two years, where global pharmaceutical leaders – members of IFPMA – discuss global health policies affecting biomedical innovation.

Where possible, BCR organises meetings with government officials and policy makers.

IFPMA represents over 90 innovative pharmaceutical companies and associations around the world. The industry’s nearly three million employees discover, develop and deliver medicines and vaccines that advance global health.

During their stay in Athens, the global pharmaceutical leaders are primarily concerned with the major overhaul of pharmaceutical legislation being prepared in the European Union.

At the same time, they will also address public health issues and the industry’s strategic goals for the next 5 years.
