Tzane: The moment he is pulled from a cliff in a ruined city in Italy (video)

The group of content creators traveled to the Italian town of Roghudi in Calabria which was abandoned by many of its inhabitants in the earthquakes of 1783

Newsroom March 14 01:39

The trip to Italy had a tragic end for the Greek TikToker “Tzane”.

The 23-year-old TikToker, according to the Italian media, slipped on a difficult cliff during a hike with three other people of the same age. The fire department, alerted by the Carabinieri, arrived at the scene and searched for the young man along the slope. They located him, they reached him but when that happened he was already dead.

The Italian Fire Department posted a video showing the moment his body was retrieved.

After assessing the great difficulty of climbing the cliff, at the request of the operational area of Reggio Calabria, the aviation section of the Lamezia Terme fire department was activated and a helicopter was sent to retrieve the body on a stretcher.

The body of the young man, recovered by the fire brigade helicopter crew, was airlifted to the port of Saline Joniche, in the municipality of Montebello Jonico, and handed over to the local authorities.

The group of content creators traveled to the Italian town of Roghudi in Calabria which was abandoned by many of its inhabitants in the earthquakes of 1783. The village suffered many landslides and floods over time and was finally completely evacuated in 1971 when it was declared an uninhabited town.

The group often traveled for videos on TikTok and YouTube and what they did was to get into extreme situations and challenges. In one of their videos they were exploring the Parnitha Sanatorium, while someone else from the group walked the distance from Katerini to Thessaloniki wearing a 20 kg vest.
