Billie Eilish broke a record with her award on Oscar night.

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter is now the youngest person in history to win two Oscars, as she and her 26-year-old brother and partner, Fineas O’Connell, won their second “Best Original Song” Oscar during Sunday night’s ceremony.

The duo won for writing “What Was I Made For?”, the song that is part of the “Barbie” soundtrack that also won Song of the Year at the Grammys earlier this year.

The two brothers previously won an Oscar in the same category for their work on the title song of James Bond’s 2021 film “No Time to Die.”

With their latest win, Eilish and O’Connell shattered a long-standing record held by Louise Rainer, who won two consecutive Academy Awards for Best Actress in 1937 and 1938 for “The Great Zigfield” and “The Good Earth,” the second award she won at age 28.

“I had a nightmare about it last night,” said Eilish on the 2024 Oscars stage, accepting the award from presenters (and Wicked co-stars) Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande at the Dolby Theatre.

Thank you, I love you for this, I’m grateful for this song and this film and the way it made me feel. This goes out to everyone who was affected by the movie and how incredible it is.”

Also, as is customary for nominated musical artists, the brothers performed their song during the ceremony.
