A young British girl was found dead on Friday morning in Corfu.

Her body was found early Friday morning on a side road near a bar in the area of Kavos in southern Corfu.

The area was cordoned off by Security officers who conducted an on-site investigation, while the coroner arrived at the scene and examined the body of the unfortunate 22-year-old, but could not determine the cause of death, which will be revealed by the autopsy.

Police are looking for the young tourist’s partner who was on holiday on the island to shed light on her final moments, while they are also examining footage from local shop cameras in the hope of recording her movements and whether she was alone when she fell where she was found.
