29 year-old Brittany Maynard’s video on her choice of euthanasia shocks the world

Brittany received the news stoically but she decided to stamp her own end date

Newsroom October 9 06:58

Brittany Maynard’s story has shaken the world. She is a 29 year-old woman who was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2014. The cancer later became more aggressive and developed into glioblastoma. Doctors’ attempts to stop or slow it down did not pan out and Brittany was informed that she has six months to live.

Brittany received the news stoically but she decided to stamp her own end date. Supporting her decision to die with the dignity she deserves, she has programmed her euthanasia for November 1st.

Her choice is not accidental since the 30th of October marks her husband’s birthday and she wants them to spend it together before she ends her life.

Euthanasia is not permitted in California, so Brittany moved her papers to Oregon. She states that euthanasia does not make her a suicide victim, she just wants to end her own life on her own terms without cancer bringing her to her knees. As she revealed, a doctor has already prescribed her the deadly prescription.

A video going around the web for the past few days which tells Brittany’s story has more than 4 million views, while the case has already divided the United States on whether she should end her life or not.
