Coronavirus Greece: 10,985 new cases, 551 intubated, 95 deaths

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,088 patients have been discharged from the ICU

The cases of coronavirus that were recorded in Greece in the last 24 hours amount to 10,985, according to an announcement by EODY. Of these, 57 were identified following checks at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases is 2,047,849 (daily change + 0.5%), of which 49.8% men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 383 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,500 are related to an already known case. The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 95, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 24,094 deaths have been recorded. 95.1 % had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 551 (60.8% men). Their median age is 65 years. 84.0 % have
an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 428 (77.68% ) are unvaccinated
or partially vaccinated and 123 (22.32%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,088 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
