Berlin terror attack: Suspect’s chilling selfie with “car used in motorway rampage”

Six people were injured when Sarmad ploughed his car into a number of vehicles along a stretch of the German capital’s motorway

Newsroom August 29 08:33

This is the chilling final selfie of a suspected terrorist posing in front of a car similar to that used in the motorway rampage in Berlin last night.

Six people were injured, three of them seriously, when Sarmad A allegedly ploughed his Opel Astra into a number of vehicles along a stretch of the German capital’s motorway.

Around three hours before, 30-year-old suspect Sarmad A posted an image on Facebook of him posing alongside a black Opel Astra.

He also wrote a brief caption alongside the image praising God.

The rampage saw two motorcyclists  hit at roughly 6.35pm local time before the attacker stopped his car, got out and shouted “Allahu akbar”, according to Germany’s Bild newspaper.

Sarmad A also allegedly placed a metal box on his car roof and shouted “Nobody comes closer, otherwise you will all die”.
