British prosecutors name two Russians for murder of Skripals

Russia says the two names mean nothing

Newsroom September 5 01:57

British prosecutors said on Wednesday (Sep 5) they have sufficient evidence to charge two Russian nationals with conspiracy to murder former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in England in March.
A European arrest warrant has been issued for the two Russians who were named as Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, the prosecutors said.

“We will not be applying to Russia for the extradition of these men as the Russian constitution does not permit extradition of its own nationals,” Sue Hemming, director of Legal Services at the Crown Prosecution Service.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the names and photos of alleged Russians suspected of poisoning Sergey and Yulia Skripal released by the UK do not mean anything to Moscow as of now.
