Glyfada gears up as Maritime Golf event returns this September

Golf meets Greek maritime excellence: A premier sporting rendezvous returns to Glyfada this September

Newsroom July 17 05:17

The countdown is on for one of the most anticipated sporting and business gatherings of the year. The Glyfada Greek Maritime Golf Event is set to return in style on Friday, 5 September, at the historic Glyfada Golf Course “K. Karamanlis”, promising a day where sport, networking, and natural beauty converge.

Firmly established as a fixture on the calendar of Greek and international shipping executives, the event once again opens its fairways to golf aficionados and players of all levels. The championship 18-hole course, crafted to international standards, will host a competition that marries strategic challenge with serene surroundings—perfect for both seasoned players and enthusiastic newcomers.

Scramble Tournament & Golf Clinic: Something for Everyone

The day tees off with morning registrations followed by a Scramble format tournament, encouraging teamwork and tactical play. For those yet to swing a club, a Golf Clinic will be on offer, where beginners can receive expert guidance and experience the sport up close.

Festivities will peak with an awards ceremony hosted at the elegant all-day restaurant Colonial at Golf Prive Glyfada, overseen by the Papatheoharis Group, offering exquisite views across the course.

Raising the Bar Once More

PGA professional and event organiser Mr Thanos Karantzias commented:

“The Glyfada Greek Maritime Golf Event returns with renewed energy, reaffirming its role as a vital meeting point between the maritime world and golf. We aim to deliver a premium experience, combining sport, corporate openness, and human connection in a truly unique natural setting.”
