A 25-year-old man of Pakistani origin, who was serving his sentence for illegal possession and use of a weapon, as well as for causing grievous bodily harm, has escaped from the rural prisons of Chania.

The escape took place at the rural prison facility in Agia, Chania.

According to flashnews.gr, on Monday morning, during the routine prisoner count, it was discovered that the man was missing. Authorities quickly realized it was a case of escape and immediately launched a search to locate him.
