A Coast Guard vessel is at the scene, and land forces are rushing to assist

Newsroom June 15 01:52

An alarm was raised early Sunday afternoon after a helicopter crashed into the sea area at the Vouliagmeni Marina.

According to initial information, the helicopter had landed at the marina’s helipad and attempted to take off shortly afterward. However, just a few seconds after lifting off, it suddenly crashed for reasons that remain unknown at this time. The incident caused panic at the scene, as the area was crowded with swimmers and visitors, while footage obtained by protothema.gr captures the moment of the crash and the ensuing commotion.

The helicopter was carrying five people, who, according to early reports, are all safe. The passengers include four foreign nationals and one Greek, and their intended destination was Mykonos.
