MRB poll: New Democracy boosts Its support again – Where Konstantopoulou gains ground

The slight increase in New Democracy’s support is reflected in the data presented today in the second part of the MRB poll published on OPEN.

The governing party’s support now stands at 75.4%, up from 72% in the March poll. The biggest leaks from New Democracy are toward undecided voters (7.5%), while 4% of its voters are heading directly to the “Plevsi Eleftherias” (Freedom of Movement) party.

Zoi Konstantopoulou’s party has based its poll surge on voters from PASOK and SYRIZA. Specifically, 21.1% of PASOK voters have switched directly to the party, while 23.5% of SYRIZA’s voters have moved to Konstantopoulou’s camp. Additionally, 23.3% of SYRIZA’s voters have shifted toward undecided voters, while SYRIZA’s support now stands at 20.1%.

Konstantopoulou’s appeal among SYRIZA voters is also reflected in responses about her potential to unite the center-left, as 35.6% believe she can achieve this, compared to 28.7% for Alexis Tsipras.

Regarding tariffs, 67.8% are concerned that they will lead to price increases for products in Greece, while 25.9% believe there will be no additional burdens. Regarding the government’s 12-year arms program, 36.6% think it should go ahead, while 48.3% believe the funds should be spent on social needs, such as healthcare and education.
