Which roads will close on Monday in central Athens due to the student parade for the March 25th celebrations?

Due to the student parade marking the National Anniversary of March 25th, 1821, temporary traffic arrangements will be enforced in various streets and avenues within Athens Municipality on Monday, March 24th, 2025, as follows:

Temporary and gradual vehicle circulation disruptions from 10:00 am until the end of the events, and a ban on vehicle stopping and parking from 6:00 am until events conclude, on the following streets:

  • Vasilissis Amalias Avenue, along its entire length, in both directions, as well as on all intersecting streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, between Sekeris Street and Vasilissis Amalias Avenue, in the direction towards Syntagma Square.
  • Vasileos Georgiou A΄ Street, throughout its entire length.
  • El. Venizelou (Panepistimiou) Street, throughout its entire length and on all intersecting streets up to the first parallel road.
  • Vasilissis Olgas Avenue, throughout its entire length, in both directions.
  • Syngrou Avenue, between Athanasiou Diakou Street and Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, in the direction towards Syntagma Square.

Additionally, on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, student parades will be held across municipalities in Attica, during which the Traffic Police will apply necessary traffic measures.

The Hellenic Police urge drivers to avoid unnecessary travel and parking in these areas during the specified times to ensure smooth circulation and to comply with police instructions and traffic signage.
