Hatzidakis: Modesty and efficiency, our two basic obligations

Promises and good intentions do not count much now - What is needed is concrete and tangible work for the country and society

Newsroom March 14 09:40

“The appointment of Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Deputy Prime Minister is a great honor. But it is also a great responsibility to justify this choice, at a time of great importance for both the Government and our country,” Kostis Hatzidakis said in a post on the government reshuffle and the new duties he is taking on.

He adds: “In these times we have an obligation to move forward, with modesty, but also efficiency. Promises and good intentions do not count much now. What is needed are concrete goals, concrete changes, concrete and tangible work for the country and society. That is what I have tried to do so far in my entire career. And what I can commit myself to is that I will go in this direction with a sense of patriotic responsibility. But also the obligation we have towards young people to raise Greece, which we all love so much, even higher!“
