Meeting in Achaia on smallpox in sheep and goats – What was decided

As the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Kostas Tsiaras, said, “This success is due to one single factor: the cooperation of all parties involved, especially the farmers, with the country’s veterinary services and veterinarians in the faithful implementation of the European Regulation 687/2020”.

“As a result, our country received the praise of the EU for the way it dealt with the zoonosis and became a model for other European countries. The same should be done for smallpox, the successful treatment of which, lies in the hands of all of us. I am sure that cooperation between all the stakeholders and the farmers will bring the desired result”, Mr. Tsiaras added.
