Sketching the profile of the Turk arrested after a chase – Photo with the weapons found

The Greek FBI is examining the murder of a Turk that occurred in early November in Kypseli

Newsroom November 26 03:46

The profile of the Turk arrested on Monday (25/11) after a chase in downtown Athens is being examined by officials from the Greek FBI handling the case, to determine if the man is involved in any older unsolved cases.

Reports indicate that one of the cases under investigation is the murder of a Turk in early November in Kypseli, although no evidence has emerged so far linking the arrested individual to this case. Additionally, there is an investigation into any potential connections between the man and factions of the Turkish mafia.

As reported earlier by protothema.gr, the man was arrested following a chase, with police from the O.P.K.E. (Special Police Teams) locating two weapons.

A photo of the arrested individual and the weapons found has been obtained and is presented by protothema.gr:

The countdown to the man’s arrest began when officers from the O.P.K.E. patrolling the city center noticed a car with four individuals acting suspiciously in the Agios Panteleimon area.

Immediately, the police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver accelerated through the narrow streets, colliding with parked cars without stopping.

Eventually, a short distance further, the vehicle came to a halt, and the passengers opened the doors and attempted to flee. The police chased them on foot and arrested one of them.

During their escape, some of the passengers threw a gun (a Glock) and their clothing into a trash bin, but the Greek police found and seized them. Additionally, another gun, also a Glock, was found during a search of the vehicle.

One of the two Turks was arrested, and the case, deemed serious, was taken over by the Greek FBI, with investigators searching for at least two more individuals and gathering evidence to determine whether the suspects are connected to earlier cases.
