As he specifically stated: “Strengthening public transport is not just a commitment. It is a reality being implemented daily.”

The Prime Minister’s post in detail:

“Strengthening public transport is not just a commitment. It is a reality being implemented daily. Today, an additional 35 new low-emission buses are being introduced on 11 routes in Attica, offering more comfortable and environmentally friendly journeys. So far, the fleet of urban transport in Attica has already been renewed with 250 new vehicles, which provide better services to passengers and ensure accessibility for all our fellow citizens.
In 2019, 1,100 older buses were in operation in Attica. Today, there are 1,250, 250 of which are modern, low-emission vehicles. This is the first time since 2009 that such an extensive renewal of urban transport has taken place. And we are not stopping here! Our goal is to reach 950 new buses in Attica by the summer of 2025, ensuring modern, more environmentally friendly, and safer transportation for passengers.”
