Authorities have arrested one individual following an incident that took place near the Israeli Consulate

Today marks the somber anniversary of the 1972 Munich Olympic Games attack.

A major police operation has been launched in Munich after shots were fired in the city center.

According to Bild, an unknown man armed with a long-barreled weapon approached police officers stationed outside the Munich Documentation Center—the former Nazi Party headquarters, now dedicated to addressing the city’s troubled past—and opened fire on them.
