Newsroom July 16 02:23

The judicial council in a majority by a vote of 2 to 1 rejected the prosecutor’s proposal of George Polycrates to release the criminal lawyer on restrictive conditions such as electronic bracelet (ankle monitor) and no contact with his wife.

It is recalled that Apostolos Lytras had filed a petition on June 28, 2024, requesting the replacement of his temporary detention (i.e. the warrant with which he was taken to Korydallos), arguing that he had not violated the conditions imposed by the investigator with the consent of a prosecutor after his plea, namely of not contacting the victim and moving from the house they had lived in until then.

Furthermore, he stated that he is not a suspected fugitive.
