Mitsotakis: Siljanovska & Mickoski’s rhetoric is illegal & provocative

We reject it and send it back

Newsroom May 20 09:50

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis sent a clear message to the new leadership of North Macedonia to abandon the “provocative and ahistorical” rhetoric, speaking at the 49th regular general assembly of the Northern Greece Exporters Association.

“The stance of the new President and the designated Prime Minister is both illegal and provocative. We reject it and send it back. The path to Europe may be halted,” emphasized Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

He also attacked SYRIZA, saying that “those that do not know history within our borders must understand that our country cannot abandon its tools.” He stressed,

“They burdened us with the agreement, and now they ask us to ratify the Memoranda.”

The Prime Minister reminded that New Democracy had timely warned about the dangers of the Prespa Agreement, recalling that his party had voted against it and emphasized strongly that the government will stand by the exporting businesses to protect Macedonia’s products.

“We need a trade counterattack for the authenticity and quality of our Macedonian products,” he stated.
