Clean Monday: High occupancy in popular destinations

In popular winter destinations, bookings exceed 80%

Newsroom March 12 02:28

The countdown is on for the Clean Monday long weekend.

Reservations and pre-bookings at popular destinations are at high levels, with occupancy rates in these favored spots hitting the red zone.

The carnival capital, Patras, is continuously featuring new available properties on rental platforms intended to accommodate travelers.

The carnival in Xanthi, like every year, will be preferred by many carnival enthusiasts.

Occupancy rates are at high levels, and shopkeepers are eagerly anticipating it to increase consumption and sales.

“The cities with traditionally large carnival events like Patras and Xanthi are experiencing a frenzy of demand. Those who rushed to book something in advance managed to do so, however, there are many still calling to inquire if there’s anything available. There is demand for Patras, Xanthi, Nafplio, Ioannina, Trikala, and Lamia”, stated travel agent Yiannis Tsobanakis.

“Naoussa and Kozani are also on the list of interest, however, many are also seeking getaways abroad”, he added.
