Newsroom October 7 10:00

The case of a 25-year-old Palestinian homosexual who was found decapitated in the West Bank is causing international outrage.

Palestinian police have arrested a suspect after the 25-year-old was found dead in the occupied territories.

According to groups in Israel’s LGBTI community, where Ahmad Abu Marchia was seeking asylum, the young man had received threatening messages because of his sexual identity.

Videos from the moment of the murder in the city of Hebron was posted on the Internet, but the police have not confirmed the validity of the specific material.

It is still not clear how Abu Marchia was killed and if he was beheaded after he was killed.

He had gone to Israel where he lived for two years to get asylum and then flee abroad.
