Coronavirus Greece – 10,858 new cases, 76 deaths, 359 intubated

Among intubated patients, 207 (57.66%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 152 (42.34%) are fully vaccinated

The Greek National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced 10,858 coronavirus cases today, Thursday 7 April, as well as 76 deaths in the last 24 hours according to the latest information. Also, 349 intubated patients with Covid are being hospitalised.

The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,137,714 (daily change + 0.3%), of which 49.1% are men.

The number of possible new re-infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 200 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 118,270 (3.6% of the total number of positive results).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 76, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 27,968 deaths have been recorded. 95.4% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 359 (64.9% men). Their median age is 69 years. 91.6% have
an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 207 (57.66%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 152 (42.34%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,496 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
