Rick Pitino: Really honored to be coaching the Greek National team

He landed in Athens and agreed with the head of the Greek basketball federation, George Vassilakopoulos on Friday

American coach Rick Pitino will be officially at the helm of the Greek national basketball team from May 2020 and try to lead it to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The experience coach tweeted out on his account that he was honoured to take over.

Really honored to be coaching the Greek National team. Have a lot of work and preparation ahead but I’m looking forward to the challenge.
