The Journalists’ Union of Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA) decided to allow internet journalists-employees to be eligible to apply for membership in the union. The union’s board met and decided to initiate the process of registration to its registrar for employees and journalists in news and information sites. The decision is considered a “historic one” as it ends an issue that had been dragging on for 17 years.
