Devastating floods in Peru kill 84 and scatter bones from local cemetery (VIDEO+PHOTOS)

Thousands of people are affected

Newsroom March 24 08:36

The devastating floods that have hit Peru hard the last days have caused the life of at least 84 people so far, the injury of 209, while 20 are missing, 112.000 people have lost everything and 666.500 have suffered serious damages in their properties.

The heavy rains is taking a heavy toll on the South American country which is trying to cope and help its citizens.

But the destruction is emotionally challenging the people of Peru I another way too. The waters from the floods in the Lambayeque region passed through cemeteries literately unearthing the dead from the tombs. The people saw the tombs of their loved ones washed away and in many occasions bones or newly buried corpses were actually floating on the waters.
