Mitsotakis: We won’t vote the measures Tsipras will bring to the Parliament

He presented his economic plan to both Merkel and Schaeuble

Newsroom March 1 09:28

The leader of the opposition party New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis, stated in an interview he gave to the ANT1 TV Channel that his party will not vote in favor of the new measures the government will bring to the Parliament, as these are the result of their mistakes.

However, he clarified that should these measures pass they are going to be binding for the next government. That’s why, he said, his government will try to slowly make it easier for the Greek taxpayer by changing whatever is possible towards this direction.

He added that he acknowledges the fact that the Institutions ask unrealistically to much from the Greek people. As he said, he said to Angela Merkel and Wolfgang Schaeuble that the Greek people can not handle any more measures, while in parallel he ruled out any conversation about Grexit. Instead he explained to them his party’s economic plan.
