Newsroom November 30 12:16

Expanding its 2017 summer season flight itinerary, British Airways (BA) has included two direct flights from Heathrow Airport in London to Zakynthos. The option for booking the new routes, which are scheduled to start on June 3 of next year, is available to passengers on the commercial air carrier’s site www.ba.com, while the public can also book via travel agencies collaborating with British Airways. There will be two flights to Zakynthos every week, one on Wednesday and another on Saturday. Zakynthos is the newsiest addition to BA’s flights to Greece, which include Rhodes, Athens, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Mykonos, Kos, Heraklion, Chania, Kalamata and Kerkyra. British Airways’ Commercial Manager for Greece, Turkey and Cyprus Freddie Stier said she was particularly excited to announce the addition of Zakynthos on the expanded network of BA’s destinations to Greece. “We are exceptionally proud of our long journey in Greece, which counts over 90 years of flights in the market”, she noted. She pointed out that the new destination proved the significance of the Greek market for BA, as well as the support provided on a local level. The air craft used for the flights will be the Airbus A320 from terminal 5 in Heathrow Airport and passengers will have the potion to choose between Euro Traveller (economy class) and Club Europe (business class). Passengers will be allowed travel with a 23kg luggage free of charge.
